i would like to use photoshop on the company's desktop pc to edit photo from home. but since i can't download it there... can i use the software from an external harddrive? will it work?
company's pc only allow usb connection with no cd/dvd drive.

No Dear It will not work properly, U should install it first. coz When installing Photoshop DLL files Stores in System Directory...if u open from any external drive it ll not open...After connecting ur external drive to ur office PC %26 Install it again in ur external drive itself It will work...now u can remove hard disk %26 take home %26 again if u want, there is no need to install..just plug ur hard disk %26 Do it ur Work...OK?

I don't thing there is any problem in this. I can give you a link that deals with hard drive problems. Some hard drive problems can be easily fixed yourself by using easily available tools. I found the info at http://fixit.in useful
It should. You will have to navigate to where it is installed and just run the program. You should probably just put the photo on the external drive and bring it to work and do it there.
