i need a photoshop program and i tried downloading the trial verision of the adobe one but everytime i try, the exe. file downloads but whenever i try to open it to complete the installation it tells me that i have to unzip it and once i do, it still doesnt work. any thoughts?? and so now, since that doesnt work, i was thinking about downloading GIMP except i dont want any viruses/bugs and does it take up alot of space?? also, is it easy to use?? thanks!

Gimp... there is no doubt that it's a cute lil program but what exactly is your final destination?
If you plan on getting into serious graphic design / digital wedding photography then fork out the money for Photoshop along with a few extra bucks to learn it.
If you plan on just doing goofy things like adding your head on Princess Diana's Body and creating nice little family greeting cards then Gimp is the way to go.

A while back I was in the exact position as you. I downloaded Gimp, and suprisingly, it's not nearly as much a space hog like Photoshop. It runs great and it is like a free version of Photoshop. It is very simple to use, and you can find tons of great tutorials online for it. You also won't get any viruses or bugs from it so don't worry.
So I would suggest downloading it right away! I've been using it for awhile now, and it completely meets my satisfaction!
