Is it possible to transport vector paths from Photoshop to Illustrator? I have done a lot of work on this picture in Photoshop, but I realise that it would be easier to continue in Illustrator. I obviously want to keep vector paths editable - is there any way I can tranport them into Illustrator to still be able to edit them, not as a bitmap?
Thanks!

Check on the Path palette. If you have drawn a path, there must be a 'work path'. Double click that 'work path' and rename it.
Then click on the 'File menu', Choose 'Export' and 'Path to Illustrator'. Type the file name as you like.
But remember. When you open the file in Illustrator it would not really show up the line of the path. Click it by pointer or press CTRL + A to activate the bounding box of the path. And it would not attach your content of the path, it appears in blank outline only.
