Undoing photoshop filter effects?

suppose i have a photo on which photoshop filters have been applied.is ther any way by which i an recover the original image by undoing the filter effects?....

plz dont tell me to press ctrl+z...because i am obviously talking about a saved image.

If it is a photoshop file (.psd) and the affect has been applied using layers or masks and saved with them, then you can remove them by simply deleting these layesr and masks.

However if it is a flattened image then the pixels have become permanently fixed and there is nothing you can do about it.

i want to do this with one of my photos and i'm not sure what its called. maybe filtered greyscale? but i know some feature on photoshop allows you to make a picture black and white, but still allow one color. for example, making everything in a picture black and white except a blue shirt and blue eyes. how do i do this?

Or you could select whatever you wanted to make greyscale using the selection tools and go to Image %26gt;%26gt; Adjustments %26gt;%26gt; Desaturate

you have to duplicate the image. change on of them to grayscale, then combine them by placing the grayscale image on top, and erase the gray object you want to be color.

Probably a dumb question.... but are photos you import in Adobe Photoshop only available for private use? Meaning they aren't posted on some sort of network are they? I just see where you can order prints, share, etc. but I don't want my album available for anyone else to view. I haven't set up any sort of account.

No your album cannot be viewed by anyone else i have used several versions of photoshop and for all of them you have to set up an account, even then you have to make it private or not so you are good!

It really depends what you want to do with the graphics editor. If you plan on editing photographs only, Photoshop is what you want. If you want to make graphics, either one is good ~ they are different but both are good. If you want to design websites, although either one will do, PS is better, most designers use both. Also better of you plan on scrapbooking. With both, you can use animation shop and plug in filters ... if cost is a factor go with corel. Download a trial version of one, when the trial period is over download the trial of the other. The only way is to decide for yourself which is better, which one does more of what you want to do

I have never used corel paint shop but I am very happy with the professional results I get with Adobe.....It takes time to learn and a tutorial is extremely helpful. I bought a tutorial and never looked back with regret. 90 percent of the pros use Adobe Photoshop. It will take a little effort to learn the program but you will be extremely happy with the results you get...in many instances you will be amazed. Not everyone is an art pro but you can become one using the Adobe program.
You don't have to buy them. ;)
